Athene names Brett Gibson head of investor relations

Athene, a subsidiary of Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO), has appointed Brett Gibson as Executive Vice President and Head of Investor Relations, according to a company press release.

Gibson joins Athene from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he most recently served as Executive Director of North America Credit Research. During his time at J.P. Morgan, he focused on analyzing investment-grade insurance and healthcare companies and conducted analysis of life insurance industry balance sheets and investment portfolios.

Athene CEO Grant Kvalheim said Gibson brings nearly 20 years of experience in credit research, capital markets, and institutional investor engagement to the company.

Athene reported $473 billion in total assets as of June 30, 2026, and operates in the United States, Bermuda, Canada, and Japan.
