Aon plc (NYSE: AON) announced that Edmund Reese has stepped down as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, to pursue opportunities outside the company.
Nadin Virani has been appointed Interim CFO, also effective immediately. Reese will remain with Aon as a senior advisor to President and CEO Greg Case through Aug. 16, 2027, to support the transition.
Virani previously served as Aon's Global Head of Corporate Planning and Analytics, with oversight of financial planning and analysis, forecasting, cash management, and budgeting. Before joining Aon, he served as Head of Corporate Planning and Analytics at Broadridge Financial and as General Manager for the Delta Amex Co-Brand portfolio at American Express, where he held CFO positions across London, Frankfurt, and New York over 18 years.
Virani will report to Case and lead Aon's finance organization. The company said it has engaged an executive search firm to conduct an internal and external search for a permanent CFO.
Aon also reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial guidance, consistent with the update provided in its second-quarter earnings release on July 29, 2026.
