AMETEK names Robert Amodei controller, Scott DelOrefice group controller

AMETEK Inc. (NYSE: AME) announced the appointment of Robert J. Amodei as Senior Vice President, Controller effective January 1, 2026. Amodei currently serves as Vice President, Assistant Controller and will replace Thomas M. Montgomery, who announced his retirement after 42 years with the company.
Montgomery will remain with AMETEK as a Senior Advisor through 2026, according to the company's statement.
The Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based industrial technology company also appointed Scott M. DelOrefice as Vice President, Group Controller for the Electromechanical Group, effective January 1, 2026. DelOrefice currently serves as Divisional Vice President, Finance for the Engineered Materials, Interconnects & Packaging division.
"Rob is an experienced financial leader with a deep understanding of AMETEK, our strategy and our financial organization," said David A. Zapico, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Amodei has been with AMETEK for 36 years, joining through the company's Financial Management Program. He has held various positions including Vice President - Group Controller, Vice President - Operational Finance and Accounting, and Vice President - Audit Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. Joseph's University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
DelOrefice joined AMETEK eight years ago. Prior to joining the company, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Asahi Refining North America and held financial leadership roles with Johnson Matthey. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master of Business Administration degree from Villanova University.
AMETEK is a global provider of industrial technology solutions with approximately $7.5 billion in annualized sales.
