VisionWave responds to patent office action, files trademark application
VisionWave Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VWAV) filed a response to a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office action within six days and submitted a trademark application for its Evolved Intelligence technology, according to a company statement.
The USPTO issued an office action on August 12, 2025, regarding VisionWave's continuation patent application for its Radio Wave Finder technology. The office action raised a procedural double-patenting matter that can be addressed through a Terminal Disclaimer, with no other substantive issues identified. VisionWave filed its formal response, including the Terminal Disclaimer, on August 18, 2025.
The continuation patent describes a multi-planar radio-wave detection and imaging system with an AI analysis component for use across air, water, ground, and space domains. Patent issuance remains subject to USPTO approval.
Separately, VisionWave filed a U.S. trademark application for "Evolved Intelligence" (Serial No. 99317884). The company describes Evolved Intelligence as a real-time, embedded AI engine designed for decision-making in contested or bandwidth-limited environments. The technology combines multi-modal sensor fusion with edge-optimized runtime for drones, unmanned ground vehicles, guided munitions, sensors and humanoid robotics.
"EI is designed to combine logic- and data-driven models with an added reasoning layer, with the goal of enabling more context-aware decision support in real time," said Noam Kenig, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Danny Rittman, Chief Technology Officer, stated that the technology is "built for deterministic, low-latency decisions at the edge" and incorporates the company's patent-pending multi-planar RF-to-image sensing architecture.
VisionWave, based in West Hollywood, California, specializes in AI-powered sensing and autonomous threat-response systems for defense applications. The company noted that trademark registration is not guaranteed and remains subject to standard USPTO examination.
