Kroger settles litigation with C&S Wholesale Grocers

Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) announced it reached a settlement with C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC regarding litigation that was pending in Delaware Superior Court. The grocery retailer said all claims between the parties have been resolved.

The Cincinnati-based company disclosed the settlement terms remain confidential. Ron Sargent, Kroger's Chairman and CEO, said the company was pleased to resolve the claims and looks forward to maintaining a friendly relationship with C&S going forward.

Sargent added that Kroger remains focused on serving customers and operating stores across the United States. The settlement announcement did not specify the nature of the original dispute or the duration of the litigation.

Kroger operates more than 400,000 associates serving over 11 million customers daily through retail food stores and eCommerce platforms under various banner names nationwide.
