UiPath Inc. (PATH) to cut workforce by 10%

UiPath Inc. (NYSE: PATH) has announced in a recent SEC filing its intention to reduce its global workforce by around 10%. This decision, sanctioned by the Board on Monday, is part of a restructuring effort aimed at boosting operational efficiency and customer focus. Headquartered in New York, UiPath currently employs approximately 4,200 people worldwide and plans to finalize most of the workforce reductions by the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.

These workforce adjustments are part of a broader initiative to streamline the organization, concentrating on operational and corporate functions. The company intends to prioritize investments in go-to-market strategies and research and development, particularly in artificial intelligence. UiPath anticipates incurring restructuring costs ranging from $17 million to $25 million, primarily in cash expenditures. These costs encompass employee termination benefits estimated between $15 million and $20 million, as well as lease exit and other contractual expenses projected to total between $2 million and $5 million.
