Trump says he and Zelenskiy working on Ukraine war solution

Investing.com -- President Donald Trump said today that he and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy are working to develop a solution to end Russia's war in Ukraine. The president made the remarks to reporters following a bilateral meeting between the two leaders at the United Nations in New York.

Trump stated that strikes inside Russia targeting refining capacity represent a serious blow to the Russians and to diesel prices. He also said he has called for a ban on diesel exports.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told reporters that the administration is examining the possibility of a diesel export ban.

Trump added that Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to meet to end the war.
