Science Applications (SAIC) awarded $63.8 million DoD contract

Investing.com -- Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has been awarded a $63.8 million contract by the U.S. Department of Defense for warhead expansion boxes and associated cable kits.

The Reston, Virginia-based company received the cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that will run for 78 months with no option periods. The ordering period will end in January 2032.

Work on the contract will be distributed across multiple locations, with 42% performed in Bedford, Indiana; 32% in Middletown, Rhode Island; 20% in Indianapolis, Indiana; and 6% in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport, Rhode Island, is serving as the contracting activity. The contract was competitively procured through SAM.gov, with two offers received.

The Department of Defense will immediately obligate $1,001,642 in fiscal 2025 weapons procurement funds for the first task order following the basic contract award. These funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
