SBA Communications Corp climbed 6.9% in morning trading Friday, with shares reaching $190.63 as the stock rebounded from oversold conditions and benefited from renewed interest in wireless tower infrastructure.
The company's shares had fallen to a 52-week low of $156.60 on October 5. A buy signal from a pivot bottom formed around that time has supported a recovery in the stock since then.
Analysts at KeyBanc pointed to SpaceX's spectrum acquisition earlier this month as a positive development for tower operators. The acquisition is expected to drive demand for network densification, which would increase leasing activity on towers owned by companies including SBA Communications.
UBS maintained its Buy rating on the stock on October 19. The broader analyst community holds a Moderate Buy consensus on the shares, with an average price target above current trading levels.
