Investing.com -- Shares of Rank One Computing Corp (NASDAQ: ROC) rose 7% in Monday trading after the company secured an eight-year, $64.3 million contract with the U.S. Department of Justice. The milestone deal establishes a strategic beachhead for the sovereign Vision AI developer's digital evidence suite, ROC Evidence.
The contract structure combines short-term certainty with significant long-term recurring revenue upside. It includes an initial one-year base period valued at approximately $7 million, followed by seven single-year option periods exercisable at the government's discretion.
The win follows a federal Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) contract award, underscoring accelerating momentum across public safety and national security procurement channels. Management highlighted that federal law enforcement agencies are increasingly prioritizing domestic, sovereign AI solutions to modernize siloed analytical workflows and manage expanding digital evidence volumes.
The contract also validates ROC’s recent strategic acquisition of digital forensics firm ZTC. Integrating ZTC's multi-decade operational expertise and specialized forensics capabilities strengthens ROC's capacity to process large-scale data ingestion for complex federal investigations.
For investors, the major government award provides a clear catalyst for margin expansion and multi-year organic growth. Markets are likely watching how effectively ROC converts these high-profile federal implementations into broader commercial and public sector adoption across its sovereign biometric ecosystem.
