Northrop Grumman wins $216M radar contract expansion

Investing.com - Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) received a $215.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Department of War on Tuesday for its Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability program, the Pentagon announced.

The modification expands a previously awarded contract for DARC Site 2 and covers pre-construction long-lead items, antenna hardware, antenna manufacturing, and pre-construction tasks for the radar system. The change increases the total cumulative contract value to $495.4 million from $279.4 million.

Work will be performed at the company's Colorado Springs, Colorado facility with completion expected by March 30, 2030. The Space Systems Command Directorate of Contracting at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado is managing the contract.

The Department of War is obligating $51.4 million in fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award. The original contract was designated FA8820-24-C-B001.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. is based in Colorado Springs and provides defense and aerospace systems to government customers.
