L3Harris awarded $876 million Navy contract for jammer system work

Investing.com -- L3Harris Technologies Inc. secured a $876.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Department of War to continue development of the Next Generation Jammer Low Band system. The cost-plus-incentive-fee modification expands the company's existing contract to include system development, delivery of test article pods, cybersecurity enhancements, and support services for the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.

The work will span multiple locations, with Salt Lake City, Utah accounting for 43% of the activity, followed by Hollywood, Alabama at 14.8%. Additional work will take place in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado, California, Texas, New York, and Australia.

The project includes non-recurring tooling and equipment, system security development, and product logistics support. The contract is scheduled for completion in fiscal 2031.

The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland will obligate $3.7 million in fiscal 2026 Navy research and development funds, along with $23 million in Royal Australian Air Force cooperative funds at the time of award. The modification was awarded without competitive bidding.
