Iran's security chief denies alleged plot against Trump's son

Investing.com -- Iran's Security Chief Mohsen Rezaei dismissed reports of a potential plot to assassinate Barron Trump as false during a televised interview on Thursday.

Rezaei made the statement in an interview broadcast by Lebanon's Al Manar TV. The U.S. Secret Service said on Tuesday that it was aware of a video broadcast by Iranian state television discussing a potential plot to assassinate the youngest son of U.S. President Donald Trump.

During the same interview, Rezaei said mediators have asked Iran for its conditions to open the Strait of Hormuz. He said Tehran is preparing a list of conditions, which include ending war in the region.

Rezaei said Iran has agreed to establish a corridor with Oman, with part of it in Omani waters and some in Iranian waters. He added that ships will transit through a designated central channel in the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S. meets Iran's conditions.
