Investing.com -- The European Commission announced Wednesday it will collect feedback on commitments proposed by Sanofi to resolve concerns about possible anticompetitive behavior related to its flu vaccine marketing.
The Commission launched an investigation two weeks ago examining whether Sanofi conducted a misleading campaign to promote its Efluelda flu vaccine while criticizing a competing product called Fluad, manufactured by CSL Seqirus. The alleged conduct occurred primarily in France and Germany.
Sanofi has offered several commitments to address the Commission's concerns. These include publishing statements on its website, engaging in proactive communication, and refraining from criticizing rival products. The proposed commitments would remain in effect until March 2030.
The European Commission invited all interested parties to submit their views on Sanofi's proposed commitments by August 21.
