Central Command denies Iranian claims of hitting U.S. Navy ships
Investing.com -- The US Central Command stated on Wednesday that Iranian forces did not successfully strike any of its warships in the Middle East, contradicting claims made by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
"Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces have claimed they struck two U.S. Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East. This is completely FALSE," US CENTCOM said in a post on X.
The military command added that all attempted attacks against its vessels had failed. The statement directly addressed reports suggesting Iranian forces had hit American warships in the region.
