Boeing wins $31.5M Navy contract for P-8A sustainment

Investing.com - Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) was awarded a $31,505,637 modification to support P-8A aircraft platform sustainment for the U.S. Navy and allied governments, the Department of Defense announced Thursday.

The modification exercises options for P-8A platform sustainment support, support equipment maintenance, engineering investigations, and integrated maintenance augmentation support. The work covers the Navy and the governments of Australia, the United Kingdom, Norway, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, and Germany.

Work will be performed across multiple locations, with Jacksonville, Florida accounting for 25% and Whidbey Island, Washington accounting for 15%. Additional work will take place in Sigonella, Italy; Manama, Bahrain; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; and other domestic and international sites. The contract is expected to be completed in September 2027.

The Navy will obligate $8,576,380 in fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds and $8,922,792 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award. Foreign Military Sales customer funds totaling $2,745,842 and Royal Australian Air Force cooperative funds of $277,003 will also be obligated.

The contract modification was issued under a previously awarded basic ordering agreement. Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland serves as the contracting activity.
