Boeing secures $2.7 billion Army contract for Apache support services

Investing.com -- Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) has been awarded a $2.7 billion contract from the U.S. Army for Apache helicopter post-production support services, according to an announcement from the U.S. Department of War.

The firm-fixed-price contract, valued at $2,728,234,918, was awarded to Boeing's Mesa, Arizona facility after a competitive bidding process conducted via the internet. Only one bid was received for the project.

The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama is managing the contract, which has an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2030.

Specific work locations and funding details will be determined with each order under the contract, which is designated as W58RGZ-26-D-0013.

The Apache helicopter has been a key component of the U.S. Army's attack helicopter fleet, with Boeing providing ongoing support services to maintain the aircraft's operational capabilities.
