Anthropic launches AI tools for financial advisers

Investing.com -- Anthropic introduced a suite of tools for financial advisers on Monday, linking its Claude chatbot to investment analytics and wealth-management software from companies including BlackRock, Charles Schwab and Addepar.

The product, named Claude for Financial Advisors, aims to assist financial services firms with client meeting preparation, portfolio reviews and follow-up tasks.

The release follows OpenAI's recent introduction of a ChatGPT version for the financial sector, which targets investment bankers and equity researchers with capabilities for financial research, modeling and client materials.

Anthropic's new platform connects Claude with data and software from Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks.

The company has been expanding its presence in financial services, developing tools based on its Claude AI model for investment research, portfolio analysis, financial modeling and client material preparation.

The launch occurs as AI development costs and pace face increased examination, with industry leaders questioning spending sustainability and appropriate advancement speed amid concerns about potential misuse.
