Despite Amazon.com's (Nasdaq: AMZN) questionable Facebook post this week, the e-commerce giant did see a boost in sales of "The Sopranos" products following the untimely passing of actor James Gandolfini. Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iTunes is also seeing a similar boost.
Reuters noted that "The Sopranos" is at number two on its list of "Top TV Seasons" chart. For Amazon, "The Sopranos: The Complete Series" rose to number 2 on "Best Sellers in Movies & TV," through it wasn't clear what its previous position was.
Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) YouTube showed "James Gandolfini" as its top search phrase on Wednesday.
Par for the course, fans show the best support they can when a celebrity passes in remembering them through some of their finest performances.
