UPDATE: Baxter (BAX) Sues Becton Dickinson (BDX) Over Alleged Patent Infringement

Baxter (NYSE: BAX) said to sue Becton Dickinson (NYSE: BDX) over infusion pump patent infringement, according to Bloomberg.

UPDATE - According to the report, the complaint was filed in federal court in Chicago.

The patents in question cover battery gauge, medical infusion pump, and method for automatically controlling the level of medicine.

In the suit, Baxter is seeking cash compensation and an order blocking further use of its inventions.

Shares of BDX are up 0.4 percent Thursday.
