Twitter (TWTR) Debuts Live Video for Mobile with Periscope

Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) posted the following to its official blog on Thursday:

Today, we’re excited to introduce Periscope, a new app that lets you share and experience live video from your mobile phone. We think it’s a perfect complement to Twitter, which is why we acquired the company in January.

Periscope is currently available in the Apple App Store, and an Android app is in the works. We can’t wait to see where you take it!
