Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) is beginning to implement its While You Were Away
feature.
Reports out Thursday suggests that Twitter is implementing the feature, which was first announced last November. The feature puts the bests posts from those you follow at the top of your feed when you log back into your account.
So far, it seems as though the feature will roll out on the Twitter app first.
Users have been mixed on the new feature and market watchers believe it will only be successful depending on how the algorithm works. Putting content up that isn't relevant to the user will probably disinterest them from using the platform down the line, or make them use it infrequently.
Shares of Twitter are indicated higher Friday morning.
