Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) is offering a zero-interest loan for higher-end versions of its Model S in China.
Electrek.co noted that Tesla is offering the financing in conjunction with China Merchants Bank. The offer is limited time and comes as the Chinese New Year's holiday celebration kicked off last week.
Sales in China have been weak in the past, which Tesla attributes to the misconception surrounding vehicle charging. However, the company now operates 340 Superchargers and 1,600 destination chargers in mainland China.
Shares of Tesla are up over 3 percent.
