Solar Wafer Prices Expected to Fall in October
DigiTimes reports that the price for six inch solar wafer will likely drop from its current $1.95 per unit to roughly $1.80-$1.85 per unit in October.
This also comes as the price of polysilicon is forecasted to fall in the fourth quarter, which in turn will force companies to request smaller solar wafer quotes. Polysilicon is anticipated to drop from its current $50/kg price to around $45/kg in November and December.
Developing price trends has been expected by companies in the solar industry since the EU PVSEC 2011.
