SNL Stock Market Slams Dominates The Show

If anyone watched SNL this weekend, and many did due to VP candidate Sarah Palin's appearance, you would have noticed the disproportionate amount of skits related to the falling stock market.

The MacGruber skit (see below) showed the bumbling hero logging into his online stock portfolio only to find that it has blown-up. A handful of MacGruber clips were embedded throughout the entire program:



There was also a skit about personal finance guru Suze Orman, where she discusses the rotting financial markets and talks about her heightened visibility. There was also a handful of other parodies on the financial crash. A contrarian view on the SNL stock market coverage would suggest that this happens at bottoms, not tops.

Sarah Palin's visit to SNL led to the shows best ratings in 14 years. Here are the skits:
