Takeover target Dollar Thrifty (NYSE: DTG) raised its 2010 EBITDA outlook today, which could entice one of the bidders for the company to raise their offer.
Dollar Thrifty sees FY10 adjusted EBITDA, excluding merger-related expenses, to be within a range of $240 million to $260 million for the full year of 2010, an increase of $40 million from the Company's previously announced guidance range.
Dollar Thrifty has received takeover bids from rival's Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HTZ) and Avis Budget Group, Inc. (NYSE: CAR). The current high bid is Avis' $46.50 per share offer.
