The NY Post reported prosecutors have subpoenaed a dozen Lehman Brothers (NYSE: LEH) executives, including CEO Dick Fuld, in connection with three grand jury probes into the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers.

Thus far, twelve people have been subpoenaed. Sources say the nature of the investigation is whether Lehman executives knowingly made false comments about the health of Lehman before its collapse.

Lehman Brothers hopes to give more clarification to creditors on the state of its cash and collateral within the next 45 to 60 days. Many of Lehman's trading counterparties, including large hedge funds and other investment banks, had their accounts frozen when Lehman rushed into bankruptcy court on Sept. 15.
