Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is confirming that its Lumia EOS smartphone will be equipped with a 41-megapixel camera.
An official blog post affirms that an event on July 11th will be to introduce the device.
Nokia's device comes as Samsung recently debuted its Galaxy S4 Zoom, which can best be described as a digital camera with the ability to make calls and text. The S4 Zoom sports a 16-megapixel camera with 10-times optical zoom.
Shares of Nokia are up 0.8 percent early Thursday.
