Microsoft (MSFT) Plans September Xbox One Launch in China (CHA)

Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Xbox One will officially make its way to China in September.

Reuters said that China Telecom (NYSE: CHA) will officially begin selling the device via an exclusive contract with Microsoft.

The specific launch date and price have not been set, one spokesperson for China Telecom said.

Microsoft's Xbox One will be the first gaming console made available to sale since China banned console sales in 2000.

Shares of Microsoft are lower in early trading Friday.
