Microsoft (MSFT) Office for iPad Surpasses 27M Download Milestone

Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) GM of the company's Office Division, Julia White, touted the success of Office for Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPad.

Since being released about six weeks ago, Office for iPad is said to have been downloaded 27 million times. About 12 million downloads were conducted the first week following launch, Microsoft previously said.

Shares of Microsoft are up 1 percent Monday.
