Rumors that Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) might be scaling-back its Xbox One shipment forecast are being refuted.
Digitimes said that Lite-On IT, a supplier of the Xbox One's Blu-ray disc drive, is still optimistic about shipment goals, though it didn't make any specific comments on shipment goals. Newmax, which is a camera module supplier for the device, dismissed the claim, saying orders and yield rates were both normal.
Microsoft itself wouldn't comment on allegations, saying it hasn't publicly released any sales figure goals.
Earlier in the week, Chinese new source Economic Daily News claimed that Microsoft cut shipment expectations for the Xbox One from 7 million units down to 6.2 million.
In early trading, Microsoft is indicated higher.
