Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) might be working with LinkedIn (NYSE: LNKD) for a deeper integration into its latest mobile operating system.
Reports out Wednesday have code embedded within iOS 7 showing a single sign-on system being in the works for LinkedIn. Some portions of the code are missing, meaning the two sides might still be in negotiations for a deal.
The move could be a big one for LinkedIn. The business-focused social media site could gain access to a revamped iTunes, improved Siri, and be included in Shared Links, among other features.
Shares of LinkedIn are up 0.3 percent on Wednesday's session.
