Hot Wheels (MAT) to Build Tesla Model S 1:64 (TSLA)

Following earlier reports, Mattel's (Nasdaq: MAT) Hot Wheels division said it is producing Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) Model S 1:64. Hot Wheels posted the following to Twitter on Thursday:

Everyone knows what the Model S looks like at this point, so it's curious as to why Hot Wheels brought in a designer to sketch out a new one. Then again, we're not familiar with the process Hot Wheels uses to design its other diecast toys and models.
