Greek Bailout Crowdfunding Effort Still Well Shy of Goal
As time ticks down for Greece to reach a deal on its bailout extension, or miss a crucial IMF debt payment, one enterprising person started a crowd-funded bailout campaign.
The Indiegogo page shows an impressive result: over €270,000 has been raised for Greece in just two days.
While there's still seven days left in the effort, the €270k comes to...about 0% of the €1.6 billion goal.
Again, you can keep track of the effort here and make a contribution if you wish. (For just €3, you can get a postcard of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras sent from Greece!). What we're wondering is, isn't a public bailout using taxpayers money anyway?
