Google (GOOG) Easily Outpaces Bing (MSFT) in Weeding-Out Malicious Results

According to German research outfit AV-Test, malicious websites still pop up amid some of the top search results, even when using the "best in the business." Sites tested include: Google (Nasdaq: GOOG), Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Bing, Russia's Yandex (Nasdaq: YNDX), Blekko, Faroo, Teoma, better known as Ask.com, and Chinese search giant Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU).
The firm tested about 40 million sites over the course of 18 months and, as might be expected, Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) was the best at weeding out intruders while Bing came in second. The numbers are rather impressive; out of a total of 10 million searches, Bing returned 1,285 malicious sites while Google returned just 272.
