GM (GM) Planning Some Layoffs Tied to $390M Michigan Plan Project

General Motors (NYSE: GM) is coming off of afternoon highs Friday amid headlines that it will be conducting some minor layoffs.
Bloomberg said that GM will be laying off about 430 workers at a Michigan assembly plant. The layoffs will start in August and workers are expected to return in late 2015.
The move comes related to a $390 million plant project.
Comments were made in an emailed statement today.
Shares of GM are still up 1 percent.
