Foxconn Reports Strong December Revs; Sees PC Slowing (AAPL) (DELL)

ODM to the stars Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision) was out with another solid revenue report Thursday.
According to the company, revenue rose 13.9 percent to NT$360.94 billion. The news comes following a 16.4 percent gain in November to NT$351.73 billion.
Overall, revenue rose 16.1 percent to NT$2.77 trillion in 2012.
That compares with a 19.9 percent gain in 2011 and 19.89 percent growth last December.
Foxconn benefited on increased orders for consumer electronics goods, most notably, Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone and iPad mini. Foxconn noted that, although revs rose, contribution from PC sales was ebbing.
The PC news is a negative for companies like Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) and Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), which have had a large presence in the PC market, but haven't been able to successfully garner a large share of tablets and have no presence in the smartphone market.
