Shares of Ford (NYSE: F) traded as high as $11.81 per share this afternoon, a new monthly high. Shares backed off a little since then and are currently up 6% to $11.77.
No company specific news was out today, but shares could be benefiting from raised 2010 guidance at German-based BMW. BMW said, "improved business conditions on the international automobile markets mean that the BMW Group now expects to report much better second-quarter and full-year earnings than previously forecast."
Ford shares are still below their 2010 high of $14.54 from March 18.
