Whatever Twitter has, Facebook wants it.
Reports out Monday have Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) adding a feature for Instagram users to begin posting short videos. The reveal is expected Thursday, as Facebook said it would be holding a special event then.
News following last week's report that Facebook would begin utilizing the hashtag (Number sign, #) on posts to help better categorize them. The hashtag has been a staple on Twitter since its launch.
Whether or not it means Facebook is feeling the pressure as more and more users engage with Twitter is questionable. Making moves to enhance interactivity on its own platform is something most Facebook users can get behind.
Shares of Facebook are up about 1 percent Monday.
