Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) is said to launch Techwire for breaking technology news. The company partnered with Storyful on the platform.
Content will be embedded into news stories by journalists and distributed on Twitter with a dedicated account.
Facebook's effort might be to draw in more users from Twitter (NYSE: TWTR), which has become a platform most turn to for breaking news stories.
Shares of Facebook are modestly higher Tuesday.
