Digitimes reports Monday sources close to Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) supply chain are saying the new iPhone 5’s panel size is going to be less than 4 inches in length.
Along with a shorter panel, the new phone’s back design will now be made with a metal chassis instead of its previous reinforced-glasses on the iPhone 4.
The iPhone 5 will also adopt a 3.5- to 3.7-inch panel with a new design which will allow the bezel of the panel to become thinner and the screen to appear larger.
Shares of Apple closed up $9.86 on Friday August 26 and are trading up just under 1 percent in the pre-market hours this morning.
