Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is moderately higher on the session following new stats which might suggest strong sales of one of its newest handsets.
Data from AdDuplex shows the Lumia 520 nearly doubled its Windows Phone market share in one month. From a share of 4.4 percent in April, AdDuplex CEO Alan Mendelevich suggests that share is now up to around 8 percent. Full data will be presented later this week.
Gaining 4 points in one month is no easy task, even in the world of Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone. That number means that a million or more units might have sold.
News comes following reports late last month that Nokia may have actually hiked the price of the Lumia 520 in India. Launching with a price of 9,999 rupees, BGR recently noted that the price is now at 10,299 rupees, or about $177.
Nokia is up 0.9 percent Monday.
