Cree (CREE) Up as LED Segment Sentiment Turns Positive (RVLT)

Cree (Nasdaq: CREE) shares are up Tuesday morning after a peer in the LED segment got positive on its own outlook.
Revolution Lighting Technologies (Nasdaq: RVLT) CFO Charlie Schafer presented at Craig-Hallum’s 4th Annual Alpha Select Conference on September 26, 2013 in New York City. Part of the presentation had Schafer discuss about $150 million of actionable opportunities for the company over the next 12 months, while he also said that the company expects pro forma revs of $35 million in FY13. For the second-half of 2013, pro forma revs are expected to be $17 million, versus $13.7 million reported for the first six-months of 2013.
In addition to Revolution's news, Canaccord Genuity upgraded Cree from Hold to Buy earlier today.

While Revolution Lighting Tech is up 11 percent, Cree is over 8.5 percent positive today, as well.
