Cramer Vs Santelli: Which Rant Was Better?

February 20, 2009 9:40 AM UTC
Since the economic crisis started in the summer of '07, CNBC has had two great, historic rants. First, it was Jim Cramer back in August '07 trying to urge the Fed to step it up and see what was going on, yelling "you have no idea!". Yesterday, of course, it was Rick Santelli, stirring up a revolution against Obama's mortgage plan amongst the 'silent majority' that pay their bills on time.

Which was better?

Cramer's was great because it was amazing foreshadowing on what was about to come. But we think Santelli's was better because he said what so many people have been thinking, like:

- Where is this country going?
- We aren't socialists.
- Capitalism has run amuck, but capitalism still works.
- Why do we have to pay for others failures.
- Where is our voice?
- Who's helping me?
- This is not what my forefathers fought for.
- Where is personal accountability?
