Cramer Tonight Says He Thinks He Sees A Bottom In Housing

July 31, 2008 6:09 PM UTC
Tonight, on Mad Money, Jim Cramer said housing has bottomed. Just to be clear, Cramer has called a bottom in housing at different times over the past 18 months. Approximately seven months ago, he said he is going to buy some houses because housing has bottomed. In fact, on Howard Stern's show several months back, he again called the bottom in housing and to go buy stocks like Black & Decker (NYSE: BDK). Well, obviously, the housing market has drastically fallen since that time, so be careful if you are using Cramer as your housing indicator. Sadly, he may be a great contrary indicator, which means there is more room for housing to fall.
