Well, this might be the deciding factor.
On Bill O'Reilly's recent show, the host promoted Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA). This comes years after Tesla paid back it government loan in full, received criticism over vehicle fires, and comes amid the U.S. providing a $7,500 credit on a car which starts in the $60,000 range...a price which isn't geared for mass consumption. O'Reilly even said that other automakers should be pulling for success of Tesla.
