Canadian Hedge Fund Salida Capital Wins Buffett Lunch Auction
According to a statement from the charity Gilde Foundation, reported by Bloomberg, the winner of the 2009 Warren Buffett Power Lunch Auction was Canadian hedge fund, Salida Capital. The firm won with a bid of $1.68 million.
This year's auction trailed last year's record of $2.1 million, won by Hong Kong hedge fund manager Zhao Danyang.
Salida Capital was founded in 2001, and is a leading international alternative investment management firm committed. It is based in Toronto.
