Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook has joined Twitter. He'll be posting under the handle @tim_cook.

So far, Cook has 28,700 followers, though that number is expected to rocket higher soon.

His first tweet is as follows:

Visited Retail Stores in Palo Alto today. Seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do.
