Amazon.com (AMZN) Lower Despite Strong Q4 Results and Guidance

Shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) are 6% lower in after-hours action Wednesday after the company reported solid Q4 results and guidance.

Amazon.com reported Q4 EPS of $0.48, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.48. Revenues for the quarter rose 42% to $5.67 billion, versus the consensus of $5.37 billion. Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos said, the results were driven by one thing "continuously improving the customer experience."

Amazon.com sees Q1 net sales of $3.95 to $4.15 billion, versus the consensus of $3.92 billion.

Amazon.com sees FY08 net sales of $18.75 to $19.75 billion, versus the consensus of $18.25 billion.

Amazon.com, Inc. operates retail Web sites, as well as provides programs that enable third parties to sell products on its Web sites.
