Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) plans an investment in SnapChat valuing the disappearing messaging and photo app at $15 billion, Bloomberg reported late Wednesday citing people familiar with the matter.
The Chinese e-commerce giant plans to invest $200 million in the financing, which is said to be outside a recent $500 million round that valued SnapChat at $16-$19 billion.
Alibaba declined to comment on the report.
